After 600 to 800 years, anybody would be entitled to a make-over, don’t you think?

There is no precise start-date for Tarot cards. I’ve read several histories, and they estimate the cards evolved as early as the 1200s or as late as the 1400s. Either way, they have been around for a while. The consensus seems to be that the cards started as a game, a bit like bridge or gin…in fact the Major Arcana are still called the “trump” cards sometimes. It really isn’t clear when, how, or why they went from being a simple game (that included wagers, so I imagine a sort of bridge /poker hybrid). to being a fortune telling device. Tarot has become part of pop culture, certainly. If you are a fan of Carl Jung, you could even argue they have become part of the collective unconscious. Looking at it that way would explain why…

I love crystals !! I have them all over my house and wear them all the time .
I first learned about crystals and their healing properties from my dear friend ,a crystal healer and one of the two Energy Muse jewelry creators , Heather Askinosie  .
I remember my first meeting with heather 11 years ago ! I sat down she  poured me a glass of sun charged rose quarts water and did a crystal reading for me . She told me all about the crystals .. Next thing I knew I  walked away with 10 new necklaces !!
Heather knows crystals better then anyone I have ever met , she has turned me on to so many different kinds of crystals and ways to use them that I thought rather then me write a post on them I’d go right to the source and ask the crystal master…

You’re not going to believe this, but today’s Halloween post is brought to you by Pee-Wee Herman’s Facebook post. Do I get extra goth cred for that? Today Pee-Wee, in all his excitement for Halloween approaching, posted skull pancake molds by Willaims- Sonoma. Kinda pricey at $20 for a set of three molds, but how great would it be to indignantly say “I eat skulls for breakfast!” and then actually do it?! Worth the price, I say!
